At first, I thought my writing career would flop miserably. Thanks to a naysayer and my persistence, it panned out.
I learned it the hard way: contradiction can be one hell of a catalyst. Someone told me I couldn’t make money writing, but I wanted it badly enough to do it…so I did it. Was it easy? No. Fast? Nope. It was a challenge to my resilience, and here I am writing blog posts about freelancing a year later.
(Note: everybody’s freelance writing journey is different. What took me a year to build could take six months to someone else. For now, all you need to know is that it takes time.)
Earlier in October, I had the pleasure to write a guest post for Jenna Nixon, the owner of Get-it-Together Blogs. It’s an 8-step-guide with the exact tips that helped me build my writing career from barren grounds. Tip #2 is what got my first ever guest post for Tiny Buddha published.

Oh, and a huge thank you to the lovely and inspirational Jenna for having me as a guest blogger.
